Minecraft Mates Information for Parents
Welcome to Minecraft Mates! This group is designed to be a safe and social environment where children can enjoy playing Minecraft together on a local server. Our goal is to promote teamwork, inclusion, and fun while ensuring a secure and positive experience for everyone.
Why we use a local server to create a safe and inclusive space, all players are required to stay on our local server. This ensures that:
• Everyone plays together, fostering socialisation and teamwork.
• No one feels excluded by being left out of private games.
• We maintain a safe and controlled environment for all children.
Keeping the Group Affordable
We have kept the cost of Minecraft Mates as low as possible at $15. Parents who stay and support their child helps make this group more sustainable. Your patience and encouragement will make it easier to develop structured challenges and fun activities as the group grows.
How Parents Can Help
• Encourage children to play together and engage positively.
• Help children overcome challenges and scaffold disagreements
• Help remind them of the club rules for a smooth experience.
• Be patient while we fine-tune the setup to create the best experience possible.
• If you are unable to stay and support your children, this support can be provided at the cost of $35 (ask for more details).
Minecraft Club Rules for Kids
1. Stay on the Village Server – everyone plays together here.
2. Ask your adult for help if you’re having trouble. If your adult isn’t here – find one of the staff members.
3. No spamming – it makes the game glitch.
4. Respect others’ builds – no destroying creations.
5. Be kind and include everyone – help newer players and welcome new friends.
